Class Descriptions
All our classes are accessible for all levels. However, some do require time on hands/knees as well as moving from seated to standing. If these motions don’t work for you—no problem! Check out our Guided Deep Relaxation, and Restorative Yoga as these will be appropriate for any range of motion. As well, if you are working through an injury we have a team of manual therapists available to assist in your recovery.
Express Yoga (EX)
Join us for our 40 minute express yoga class. This is perfect for those who have a one hour lunch break and have to get back to the office! This is a hatha based yoga class and is great for all levels!
Seated Meditation (SM)
This is our 30min Seated Meditation Class. You'll learn the benefit of meditation and practice simple seated mindfulness and breathing techniques designed to build your mindfulness muscles.
Gentle Rise and Shine (RS)
Let us help you prepare for the day ahead with grounded stretching, breathwork, and standing postures. These movements are designed to release tension and increase blood flow. This sequence naturally leads into strengthening postures for energy and stamina.
Revitalize and Energize Yoga (RE)
Join us for a yoga sequence designed to build strength and mobility, revitalize and boost energy, as well as cultivate mental clarity for the day ahead. Expect a mindful progression of techniques including physical postures guided by breath-synchronized movement, relaxation, and seated concentration. Beginners and experienced students are both welcome; options will be presented for all levels.
Gentle Hatha Yoga (GH)
Gentle Hatha Yoga will pair soothing movements in seated, supine or tabletop positions while coordinating mindful breath work. In uniting breath and movement, students can calm the mind while gently releasing long-held tension throughout the body.
Restorative Yoga (RY)
Our restorative classes are a time to allow the physical body to rest. Expect slow and gentle movements intended to release tension from the body. Restorative classes incorporate longer periods of holding relaxing postures, so plan to have a couple bolsters, blankets, or towels available. Teachers will weave in soothing quotes + themes and allow for longer periods of silence to help assist with deep rest. Meditation and breathing techniques aim at release + letting go.
Guided Deep Relaxation (DR)
This class incorporates various deep relaxation techniques designed for those who need to deeply relax and restore both body and mind. Laying down or positioned with bolsters in a comfortable position participants will be guided through a series of meditations and visualizations. You’ll leave powerfully restored and refreshed. All levels are welcome. Appropriate for those with limited mobility.
Yin Yoga (EX-YIN)
Yin is often a slower paced practice which primarily consists of stretches and poses that are mat based and tend to be held for longer periods of time. These long holds work to release tension in connective tissues – tendons, fascia, and ligaments – with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.
