Yoga Schedule
As the term ‘Yoga’ literally translates to connection of mind, body and spirit, yoga can be used as a tool to not only for us better understand dysfunction within our own body, but also to bring us into balance. As this practice strives to coordinate movement, breath and mindfulness, it guides us along a journey of self-healing. Our yoga instructors are highly trained and YTT certified. Class Description
Hatha (H) - Hatha combines the use of physical postures (asanas) with meditation techniques (pranayama) to develop awareness, flexibility and relaxation. Hatha yoga encompasses several styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Power Yoga. Sequences are designed using any combination of asanas and also include breath work and mindfulness. Classes are tailored to the needs of the students and sequences vary per class. All classes are designed to bring awareness, balance and calm to the practitioner.
-All Levels Welcome
Hatha Flow (HF) – Hatha Flow uses the same set of asanas and design of sequencing as the traditional Hatha class, however these classes sequence the poses to aim to keep the body moving with breath. This style allows for flow of movement with rhythmic sequencing.
-All Levels Welcome
Restorative Yoga/ Meditation (RM) - Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that aims to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Props such as: bolsters, blankets, straps and blocks may be used to help to fully support the body, allowing it to release tension slowly and naturally with minimal effort. Those looking to eliminate fatigue and stress that result from your daily activities may find this style beneficial. This style can also help you recover from physical illness and overcome emotional imbalance.
-All Levels Welcome
ELDOA - ELDOA is a stretching and strengthening technique for the spine and joints of the body. These movements, created by the world-renowned Osteopath Guy VOYER, are designed to create space between various levels of your spine as well as your hips and shoulders. The overall goal is to alleviate back/neck pain and improve your overall posture.
